Day 14 - It stopped snowing... and started raining

When I woke up this morning at 9:30am and looked out of the window, I was pleased that it stopped snowing. With a better look I realised that it was raining. It was still very windy. The sea shore, which is about 200 metres from here, wasn't even visible, the sky was very dark.
We were supposed to go to a town about 40 minutes drive from here for a funeral but the road over the mountains was closed. The family members had to wait and practically follow the plough as it was clearing the snow off the road. I stayed in with E and her baby and we just watched tv and played with the baby.
In the afternoon, when it seemed a little lighter outside, we went for a ride around town. We had a look around the harbour, the old part of the town, the new part and ended up the trip in the supermarket. I took some pictures on the way, some of them through the car window and for some of them I got outside of the car. On a couple of occasions I was almost blown away and stood in about 5 cm of slush.
After we got back I took a photo from "my" window. In the evening we went to the family dinner at E's in laws, with some of the other family members. Had some Hungarian goulash soup and bread. After the dinner we had some dried catfish. It tasted quite good, only the fish smell was quite strong.
When we got back we started watching "The bucket list" but the power cut made us go to bed about half way through the movie. It was just past midnight anyway. And the second evening with the power cut in the row... :-)
