Day 2 - Skiing is like riding a bike

When we managed to get out of the house, after 10am, we took a bus to Davos. The first stop was an Intersport shop, where I rented my gear. It was pretty straight forward, after a few questions about my skiing abilities the guy picked some boots and skis. I paid for it and off we went. For the start we chose the easier run. Well, at least that's what I was told by J. For me it seemed like a black run. I started slowly and was getting better through the day. We stayed on Jacobshorn till 3:30pm, trying different runs, using different lifts. It was great but by the end of the day my legs were killing me. We had a couple of breaks in some of the restaurants at the top of the slopes. Every time I was sitting on the chair lift I was admiring the beautiful surroundings. I still couldn't believe how perfect the mountains are. Every time we got up the mountain I felt like standing on the top of the world. Well, you can see for yourself, I managed to take some pictures. At the end we went all the way down to Davos. We took the skis off and walked to the bus stop. That was probably the worst part of the whole skiing day. You would think that somebody would invent comfortable ski boots by now, it's 21st century for goodness sake!;-) Well, we managed to get home and were really happy to take our boots off and put our feet up.
After dinner we drove around Davos and Klosters trying to find the best view of the huge full moon.:-) We ended our trip at a shop, buying a Vienetta, which we ate with some fruit salad while watching a movie. I also picked some snow outside and was icing my knee and my sore muscles. And I thought that I was fairly fit...:-)
