Day 3 - Pushing through the pain

I woke up into another beautiful day. My legs were really painful, though. I wasn't sure if I would be able to put those skis on again. But after I had some breakfast and got ready, the pain was bearable so I decided to give it a go. After all I'm here for skiing and not sitting on the sofa watching tv. At 11:20am I went up to Jacobshorn again and enjoyed the almost empty slopes. As I felt my legs getting weaker and not being able to control the skis very quickly, I decided it was time for a break. I had a cup of fruit tea at the top of the mountain and then skied about half way down the slope and sat on a bench in a beach-like hut. It was around lunchtime and the sun shone like crazy. After about 20 minutes of sunbathing I felt like I had gained some energy for a few more runs.By 1:45pm I was quite tired and didn't want to overdo it so I skied all the way down to Davos to catch a bus back to J's place. It's about 12 minutes ride and it's free with the skipass. And I don't have to say that the buses run exactly on time! At home I made myself a lunch and got ready to go out again. This time I was going to explore the two streets of Davos.:-) It was so nice to walk in my normal shoes for a change. I bought some postcards and mostly was window shopping. At 6pm I met J at the hotel where she works and we went to her friend's for dinner. We had little squares of individual pizzas, which each of us made ourselves on a special grill. It was great fun. And it tasted great too. After the desert and a coffee we went home. Even though it was quite late, I didn't forget about my latest ritual - I went outside with a plastic bag to collect some snow and was icing my legs again. This time there were my calf muscles giving me the most pain...
