Day 5 - Back in ski boots

Today I decided to try a new ski area - Parsenn. The bus took me right outside the bottom station of Parsennbahn, a cable railway which goes almost to the top of Weissfluhgipfel, a mountain 2844 metres above the sea leavel. What I didn't realise was that the sky looking grey but ok in Davos would be a different matter over 1000 metres higher. The top of the mountain was practically in clouds and started snowing there. The slopes were in perfect conditions, I loved skiing in the powder snow, but the poor visibility made it difficult and even dangerous in some places. I did I few runs but when the weather got worse I decided to head down to the town and home. To get down to Davos it meant to either use the cable railway or the black run. The visibilty was better at the middle of the mountain, where the black run starts, so I decided to give it a go. After all, my skiing has improved since the day 1 and I wasn't going to chicken out and use a lift. It was steep at parts but not as bad as I'd imagined and I actually really enjoyed it and will definitely go there again. The weather forecast is better for tomorrow and sunny for Friday so I'll have the opportunity to go to Parsenn again. As I got home early I cooked a nice late lunch for myself and relaxed the rest of the afternoon. We were supposed to go night sledging tonight but J was working late so we were just chilling instead. Maybe we can go on Friday night.
